ACADIA NATIONAL PARK – A recent winter storm caused major erosion along the only natural sand beach in Acadia National Park. The storm coincided with a king tide, creating a powerful force that washed away large chunks of sand. It ended up exposing an old fence that was beneath a sand dune and years’ worth of marine clay.
