CITY OF ROCKS NATIONAL RESERVE – The City of Rocks National Reserve is getting a lot bigger. The National Park Service bought about 105 acres of land on the northeast boundary, and the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation bought another 260 acres next to that. That means 365 acres of new recreational areas for the public in Graham Canyon.
The area in southern Idaho boasts scenic granite outcrops including Train Rock and aspen groves. Moose love to spend their winters there. You won’t be able to get there quite yet, though. A new access road will be built in the summer of 2023.
