Do you think e-scooters should be allowed to ride anywhere in national parks?
The National Park Service wants to know where you think e-scooters, hoverboards, Segways, and other “micromobility devices” should be allowed to go in parks across the country.
Right now, the NPS treats these devices the same as vehicles, meaning the same rules apply about where they can be operated.
“Powered micromobility devices are an increasingly popular mode of transportation in national parks,” says the NPS. “The proposed rule would clarify that superintendents have the authority to manage the use of powered micromobility devices in park areas where they are appropriate, including on sidewalks and gravel/paved paths.”
The deadline to share your comment is 11:59 p.m. ET on March 17, 2025.

I do Not think powered micro mobility devices should be used in National Parks at all. National Parks are for the experience with nature. I also think it would be bad for nature’s animals!
