Here’s a fun fact for this election day: The President lives in a national park! The White House is on 82 acres of park land known as President’s Park. The area, established as part of the National Park Service in 1933, features memorials, monuments and landscapes celebrating America’s history.
“The White House and President’s Park” is not technically lumped in with the other 63 national parks, like Yosemite or Yellowstone. Instead, it’s one of the 443 individual NPS units, and listed under “other designations.”
