National parks across the country are seeing their first significant snowfall of the season as a cold front sweeps down from the north.

Winter conditions are closing key roads, so make sure you check your park’s website for the latest closure alerts before driving that way. Here are just a few examples of closures caused by this frigid blast:

– Grand Canyon National Park (Arizona) warns of snowy and icy roadways
– Mount Rainier National Park (Washington) says the gate to Paradise at Longmire is closed
– Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming) warns of road closures including West Thumb to Old Faithful
– Crater Lake National Park (Oregon) has closed East Rim Drive

Be safe out there!
