Hikers were required to get a permit starting in 2022 for the wildly popular, dangerous and absolutely incredible hike. Park officials say it has worked really well so far, helping to reduce crowds and spreading hikers’ start times throughout the day.
To apply for the permit, go to the Zion National Park website. Last minute hikers can also apply to get a permit the day before their hike. More information at the same website.
