The Home of Greek Gods Inspired Park’s Name

Olympic National Park in Washington State gets its name from the famous Mount Olympus in Greece.

MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK – A moose has been recorded for the first time in Mount Rainier National Park!

The animal was captured trudging in the snow in this photo taken on Sunrise Road. Park officials are extremely excited to see the massive mammal within their boundaries, and they speculate that it could be a moose that was recently spotted using the I-90 wildlife undercrossing over the summer. I-90 is a busy freeway connecting Seattle to Eastern Washington.
