MOUNT RAINIER AND NORTH CASCADES NATIONAL PARKS – Wolverines are returning to two parks in the Pacific Northwest; Mount Rainier and North Cascades national parks.
They’re repopulating their ancestral homes in the Cascade Range after being eradicated in the 1920s by trappers and predator control efforts. Experts say they’ve moved south from Canada into Washington State. And the Cascades Carnivore Project reports that wolverines have reproduced for the third year in a row at Mount Rainier National Park!
