GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK – A groundbreaking ceremony was held in Grand Teton National Park to launch the “Reimagining Taggart Lake” project.

Eventually, there will be a wider, smoother, and more accessible dirt trail leading to the scenic and beloved Taggart Lake. Accessible restrooms, parking, and improved transitions from trails to wooden bridges will also be included in the project, which was made possible by the Grand Teton Foundation.

“EVERYONE should be able to experience the wonder of Grand Teton,” said the National Park Service on Instagram. “With universal access in mind, this project is a powerful example of how we strive to fulfill the NPS mission to preserve and share the parks for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of all people.”
