GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK – After nine long years, a popular campground in Great Smoky Mountains National Park is reopening at last.

Look Rock Campground features 68 sites and is perfect for enjoying the autumn outdoors. It’s also conveniently located along Foothills Parkway, one of the most scenic drives in the park. Foothills Parkway is also getting a $31 million upgrade, including repaving and new guard rails, with work scheduled to be complete in the spring.

The campground was closed back in 2013 after water utility systems failed. Repairs are finally complete, and every campsite has been upgraded with new picnic tables and fire rings!
