MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK – A record-setting $1.1 million will go to Washington state’s three national parks: Mount Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic.
The money comes from Washington’s National Park Fund. Key programs will receive funding, including rare carnivore research in North Cascades National Park, improvements to the Wonderland Trail in Mount Rainier National Park and elk monitoring in Olympic National Park.
Washington’s National Park Fund is a philanthropic group that raises money on behalf of the state’s national parks.
