GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK – On Sept. 7, at approximately 12:40 p.m., the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center received a report of a vehicle with a single occupant that had gone over the rim near the South Kaibab Trailhead.
Park rangers responded immediately and recovered the body, which was located about 300 feet below the rim. The body was transported to the rim by helicopter and then transferred to the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The individual has been identified as Steven (Drew) Bradley, 27, of Federal Heights, Colorado.
An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the National Park Service in coordination with the Coconino County Medical Examiner. No additional information is available at this time.
