GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK – Four people were arrested for drag racing high-end luxury sports cars inside Grand Teton National Park.
The racers used both sides of Teton Park Road at about 5 p.m. on June 24, 2025, according to the National Park Service, creating hazardous conditions for visitors, employees and wildlife. Teton Park Road is the primary road through the Wyoming park.
Twelve park rangers were deployed to track down the racers. They conducted traffic stops at several locations throughout the park, which led to the arrests and the impoundment of two vehicles. An investigation into the incident is underway, and further charges may be pending, said the NPS.
“This kind of behavior is unsafe, irresponsible, and completely unacceptable in a national park,” said Grand Teton Superintendent Chip Jenkins. “It puts visitors, staff, and wildlife at serious risk.”
