YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – This is a special milestone for the wolves of Yellowstone National Park. January 12, 2025 marks 30 years since they were reintroduced to the area where they once roamed freely.

In 1995, wolves were captured from British Columbia in Canada and transported to Wyoming where they were released. Since then, the wolves have thrived, restoring balance to the ecosystem of the park while also generating millions of dollars from people who come to Yellowstone to catch a glimpse of the elusive predators. From a conservation and environmental standpoint, the reintroduction of wolves to Yellowstone has been a thrilling success.
